A Quintet brought together by Mats Gustafsson and Per Åke Holmlander, Swedish Azz is based on
the repertoire of the founders of Swedish jazz in the 1950s and ‘60s, inspired by the sounds drifting
over from the West Coast, albeit pervious to local musical tradition, to deconstruct it with the
contribution of Dieb 13’s electronics marking the contemporaneity of the project.
